"The Eminence in Shadow RPG" is an anime role-playing game based on the "The Seven Deadly Sins" light novel series. It was initially released in Japan in 2013 and was serialized in "Shounen Jump" since its first issue.
The story takes place in the kingdom of Gardenia. Seven years ago, the kingdom was attacked by the demon king, who destroyed the kingdom and its people. Now, the kingdom is in ruins, and the people have been dispersed to all corners of the world.
Seven years later, the kingdom is rebuilt, and a new king, Cid, is chosen to lead the kingdom.
Afterward, the demon king appears again and attacks the kingdom once more.
The story continues as Cid is trying to rebuild the kingdom, and it's only thanks to his three friends' help that he can do so.
